Halloween Wedding of Our Dreams

We hired Palms Plaza to cater for our wedding, and we are nothing short of grateful that we did! From the first initial meeting with Margo, leading up to the big day working with them was seamless & stress free. Margo goes above and beyond to see that all your needs are met, and the job gets done. They know what they're doing when it comes to weddings and can answer any questions you have & offer great advice if you're indecisive on anything. Literally anything you need; they make it happen. They offer a large variety of options to choose from, we went with their full-service stations package that offers a full spread from fruit platters to meat carving stations. The food quality is exceptional, we are 3 weeks post wedding day, and our guests are still raving about how amazing all the food was! Their servers and bartenders are attentive, polite and professional. There wasn't a time I sat at my sweetheart table when I wasn't approached by one of the servers asking if I needed anything. Although we didn't have much time to eat, there was consistently a spread of food on the table for us to snack in between dancing & photos. We can't say enough great things about Palms, they are number one on my recommendation list for any occasion. If you're looking for a caterer for your wedding, they are the ONLY right choice you won't regret it.

I got married last weekend in Brooklyn, NY, and used Palms Plaza for my off-premise wedding catering (they’re based in Matawan, NJ). While planning our wedding, my now husband and I knew that food was one aspect of our wedding day that we did not want to mess up. I can 100% say all of our guests were blown away by not only the amount of food offered, but by the quality of taste and service provided by Palms staff. So many of our guests (many of whom traveled from all over the country) complimented the food and said they had to pace themselves during cocktail hour because they were excited for dinner. On top of that, my guests really appreciated the prompt and polite service of Palms staff, along with the beautiful presentation of food during cocktail hour and dinner. Aside from their stellar service, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention this…Palms traveled from NJ to northern Brooklyn and executed a flawless catering event in a space they’ve never worked in before. Allen, Margo, and their team are true professionals who can execute outstanding events outside of their premises. Our wedding day truly wouldn’t have been as special as it was without Palms Plaza, and I know our guests had a wonderful experience because of their team. I threw my husbands 40th surprise party there and I can't even begin to say how incredible the night was! From the planning through the event to the end. Alan made everything so stress and perfect!! They do an incredible job setting up- the staff is exceptional- bartenders fantastic- and the food our guests couldn't stop talking about! Palms Plaza Catering offers delicious food and I would like to share my recent experience. Last week I vacationed in OBX with my family (all 21 of us). I decided to order a few trays of food from Palms Plaza before the trip and freeze the trays and take them on vacation to share with my family. I ordered chicken francaisse, eggplant rollatini, and sausage and peppers. I had enough for 2 dinners and several lunches and everyone raved about the food. Everything was so delicious and it was so convenient and affordable. I have used Palms Plaza for backyard BBQs, holiday parties, showers and more and they always exceed my expectations. I have also attended many lovely affairs at their catering hall. I highly recommend Palms Plaza for all your catering needs. Thank you Alan and staff for your delicious food & excellent service.

Incredible. From start to finish- couldn’t have asked for anything better. First, I’ll start off by saying my husband is in the industry and has worked at nearly every venue in the tri-state area. When we started thinking of who to use for our 300 guest outdoor wedding at a camp, It was a no brainer! Margo- is a BOSS and can take on any challenge. I walked in clueless and she held my hand every step of the way. She was honest on what guests cared about and what I could skip.  We got the most food BY FAR than any other caterer- they brought trays and trays extra and were so overly accommodating— I mean- it doesn’t get better than Alan and Margo @ Palms.  Lobster bar- awesome Clam bar- awesome Mashed potato bar- also awesome S’more station- kids loved it  Everyone had nothing but great things to say. Palms took care of every detail. Table cloths, rustic elements added, multiple site visits, they even wrote our initials in the fruit 🤩❤️.  We also had my daughters first communion here, on site which was also perfect. We have always and will continue to recommend to anyone and everyone!

Last month, we made the smart decision to have the Boardwalk BBQ! In addition to the cook and helper, I asked Allen/Palms Plaza to arrange for one waitstaff. My guests are still raving about the food. It was delicious and seemingly non-stop!

The service was off the charts. The staff was simply AMAZING. They were extremely professional, friendly and went over and above to help. My guests were in awe. Everyone raved about the party. Within a week, my niece reached out for the details and is have the "deluxe" boardwalk BBQ this weekend for her son's 1st birthday (125 people). I'm looking for an excuse to have another party next year!!! As a bonus, Allen is super helpful helping make decisions and choices -- he has never steered me wrong. I am a loyal customer for over 18 years because they are the best and the food is always bountiful!!! I would give 10 stars if I could!

Allen and his staff are phenomenal!! He’s been catering small events for me for the past 20 years. This weekend he catered the largest event I’ve ever had in honor of my daughter’s wedding—a rehearsal dinner. Despite the rain he and his crew managed to create a BBQ that made everyone forget it was raining!! It was perfect and way beyond what I was ever expecting!! Thank you Allen for all your hard work! I does not go unnoticed!! We love Palms Plaza!!

We attended my granddaughter's Bat Mitzvah at Palms Plaza on Jan. 28, 2023, and were so impressed by how smoothly everything ran. The food was amazingly delicious and abundant, and the servers were very professional, worked extremely hard and catered to your every whim. Palms Plaza Catering made our backyard wedding into a luxury experience!! They offered soo much more food than other caterers for same price!! Butler served orderves, amazing hot chafing dishes, coffee and desert!! They came prepared and took care of everything!!  We just had my daughters first birthday here and all I can say is OUTSTANDING! The room is so beautiful & classy, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff is so accommodating and friendly! We had our company Christmas party this past Friday had it was absolutely perfect. Alan and his staff were very attentive and professional. The room looked very festive, lighting low and had that party like atmosphere, food delicious. Priced very affordable. I used their house DJ who was very welcoming of requests....kept the party busy dancing. We will book again next year. Highly recommend for any event.

Our son's Bar Mitzvah was December 4th and we celebrated at Palms Plaza Catering. Initially we had another venue booked for over a year, but they had lost their lease. After a mad month long scramble, a friend recommended Palms Plaza Catering. The outside strip mall location is very deceiving, because once you enter the hall you are blown away!!!!

I can not say enough wonderful things about our experience! The food (what I was able to eat, as a busy mother of the bar mitzvah boy), was fantastic !!! And there was more than plenty of food! The ambiance was excellent. The seated dinner was delicious. But dessert is where everyone really was amazed. The funnel cake and chocolate covered strawberries were out of this world. Beyond the food, the service was unbeatable. I have never been taken care of the way the staff did at Palms Plaza.

The quality of service is hands down the best anywhere - including some high end fine dining places that I have been to. I highly recommend Palms Plaza for any event !!

This review is long overdue but it's only because I've been trying to think of the right words to say how amazing Allen is at Palms Plaza. I've been hosting and attending parties at Palms plaza as well as having them cater small events at my home for years now. The food is always delicious and plentiful. The service is always impeccable. However Allen really outdid himself when it came to planning and catering our wedding. Allen knew we wanted something different. He not only found us the venue but he was hands on throughout. I did not have to worry about one detail. He thought of everything. Anything we wanted he provided. The food was top notch. Everyone is still raving about it. The presentation and display was outstanding . We had a raw bar, with clams and shrimp. There were grillers making sliders. There was a wok station, not to mention a full cocktail hour and buffet. His staff, especially Amanda, took care of everything without missing a beat. Allen well exceeded our expectations and made our day even more special than we hoped. He is truly the best!!

Our off premise wedding was serviced to perfection! We were married in an offsite venue that needed everything to be brought in. Alan and his staff at the Palms are nothing short of amazing. We have been to many events hosted by the palms and knew we wanted to have our wedding there but due to COVID we wound up having it at a park, catered by The Palms Plaza. Alan sent Howie for our big day. He was awesome and made our wedding just as perfect as it would have been if we were able to have it at the Palms like originally planned. People are still raving about how delicious the food was and the amount of food there was to choose from, and how great the waitstaff and bartenders were. Everyone had nothing but great things to say about it all. Alan is the nicest most patient, honest business owner. He and his staff can host one hell of a party regardless of where it is. I can’t thank Alan enough for all the good memories involving The Palms Plaza!

Thank you for making my daughter's bridal shower so awesome.  I found myself scrambling when her original venue couldn't accommodate this event due to Covid restrictions.  IT was a blessing in disguise because the day turned out to be absolutely perfect and way beyond expectations, Thanks to Alan and staff at Palms!  As always, the food was plentiful (actually more than anyone can eat), and fresh out of the kitchen.  The assortment of food totally surpasses what you would get at any other venue!  I should have expected this as every event I attend at Palms is food overload, not to mentioned a world class Viennese dessert array!  The cake, baked on premise blew me away!  If you are planning an event and unsure what venue to consider.....absolutely consider Palms Plaza.  You will NOT be disappointed!

I had my wedding at Palms Plaza. We had the wedding in the smaller room (imperial I think). I couldn’t have picked a better place for my special day. Allan’s lay back personality made the whole experience unforgettable. When you are planning a wedding iin three months and you are allover the place, the best thing that
Can happen is to find someone like Allan to ensure you everything will be ok and to help you with it all. He is not “money hungry” like most venues I contacted. He worked with us even with changing the ceremony to the venue and not the waterfront as we had planned due to a storm approaching. He mentioned our options before we even thought about the weather ourselves. The night before we contacted our guests about the changed for the ceremony. Thank god for Allan and his team because they put that together in no time! I was late to my ceremony due to an issue in transportation that didn’t go as planned but my day went on amazing. Every time we met with Allan he would tell me everything would be ok. And despite the bad weather (we had to do our photo shoot at the venue) and some people not showing up the party was amazing. Don’t be fool by the smaller room, they transformed that place for the day of the wedding that I couldn’t stop talking about it. His staff was incredible and friendly as hell...don’t get me started on the food it was amazing. People still don’t believe that we had a wedding at Palms plaza, they say the venue on 34? Really? Hell yeah! And we are thinking of holding any of our big events there. Bigger venue have nothing on this place. I can’t thank Allan and his team enough for making my day a truly special one. Sometimes is not about the bigger most beautiful castle like venue is about the support you get from the vendor you are working with without the additional fees attached. I can go on forever about my experience with Palms Plaza but that will still not be enough to truly express how thankful I am to Allan and his team. It took me this long to write a review due to all the stuff life throws at you but I haven’t and will never forget how glad I am to have chosen this place for my wedding. I will share some pictures once I download them to my computer.

My son’s graduation was A-MAZING! It was all thanks to you and that phenomenal staff you have.  My guests have NOT stopped talking about the food and the service.  The setup was fantastic and everyone was wonderful!  I’m trying to think of what milestone is coming that I can do the same thing!  I cannot think of anything that would have made me more satisfied or happier with the Boardwalk BBQ.  My family is a tough sell and they are still buzzing about it.  The day was perfect and it would not have been if it wasn’t for you and your staff.

We  celebrated my daughter's bat mitzvah yesterday and I can't say enough  nice things about Palms Plaza. So many people have already told us that  it was the best bat mitzvah that they had ever attended. Everything went  smoothly from our first visit through the actual party. There  are no words to express how I feel about the Palms. Not only was Allen  clearly skilled at making sure your party comes off without a hitch but  he made sure to cover every detail I would never even think about. Last  night my daughter had her Sweet 16 there, it was perfect!!!! The staff  is amazing, waited hand and foot on my guests all night long!! The food  was incredible!! ( And I have some very picky Italian family members,  lol) The venue was gorgeous!!! Alan was a total class act from start to  finish making it such a pleasant experience!!! We  just had my daughter's Sweet 16 Party at the Palms Plaza and it was  incredible. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Alan. He was the  easiest person to deal with from the beginning of the party planning to  the end result. He was gracious, accommodating and just a pleasure. The  food was out of this world and so much of it! The DJ and MC (Global  Entertainment) were so energetic and kept the party going from the  moment my daughter made her entrance to the last song. Barbie at Party  Pleasers was the best. The balloon arch, centerpieces and name candle  were beautiful and so much more than I expected. A  co-worker of my husbands suggested Palms Plaza for our daughter Talysa  Sweet 16. From the first time I called Palms Plaza, Allan (owner) picked  up the phone immediately and was so nice, welcoming, and he didn't try  to "sell" and be pushy (he let Palms Plaza's elegance and spotlessness  speak for itself)! Allan invited us over, showed us the place and even  invited us to the Showcase which was absolutely fabulous! I fell in love  with the food and the whole environment!!!! The BEST part is that on my  "Hunt" to find the right venue, Palms Plaza; ABSOLUTELY gives you the  most DELICIOUS HIGH QUALITY food for the BEST PRICES around... TRUST ME,  WE LOOKED EVERYWHERE! The waiters were also so Friendly, (Laurie kept  making sure we had everything we needed and helped me gather my  candelabra and favors that were left at the end of the party ). Their  service was so on point, making every transition of the party an  organized and smooth one! All our family and friends have not stopped  telling us how amazing the food, music and photo booth were (Global  Entertainment DJ Rob was the heartbeat of the party!!!!) Allan kept  making sure that everything was perfect, made sure my daughter had a  plate of food since she was constantly busy greeting, dancing, taking  pictures and having fun! My daughter ABSOLUTELY LOVED Palms Plaza  Caterers for making her Party a BEAUTIFUL REALITY AND TREASURED MEMORY!  We will recommend Palms Plaza to EVERYONE and can't wait to go back!

Just  wanted to take a minute to let you know how wonderful Benjamin’s Bar  Mitzvah was.  Everything was perfect!  All of our guests couldn’t get  over how great the food was (but we already knew it was amazing!).   Thanks to you, Amanda, and the whole team at Palm’s Plaza for truly  helping to make this such a memorable occasion.  Hope to see you soon.

My  daughters Sweet 16 at Palms Plaza was beyond perfect! From the first  step of signing the contract to the moment I walked in it was one of the  most pleasant experiences dealing with great management. They went  above and beyond to make every detail of our evening a perfect one. The  food was delicious and the staff impeccable. The  Palms Plaza was the best choice I made to have my daughters Sweet 16,  not only was it affordable they give you so much, the food was  incredible and endless nobody will go home hungry. Alan was so easy to  work with and very accommodating, the night was absolutely flawless, I  didn't have to worry about anything except having a good time. The staff  was incredible and professional. Alan really knows how to throw a good  party. I totally recommend the Palms Plaza for your special event, you  won't be disappointed.

I  was absolutely amazed at the incredible job the Palms did for my son's  communion. There was not a detail missed, and Alan and the staff made it  easy. I was finally able to not only enjoy one of my own parties, but  leave already thinking about the next time I can have an event at the  Palms.

Thank  you so much Allen for doing such an amazing job at my son's Bar  Mitzvah. The food was absolutely amazing and everyone raved about how  delicious it was. Our  family celebrated Caroline's Sweet Sixteen at Palms Plaza and it was  fabulous. Alan and his staff are more than accommodating and the service  was great. Party Pleasers did a beautiful job decorating and the DJ  Xplosive were also terrific. If you are thinking of your next party  absolutely go visit Alan and let Palms Plaza be the venue for your  affair. You will not be disappointed !

We  had my sister's Sweet 16 Party at Palms Plaza this past Saturday and it  couldn't have been any more perfect! From the food, the service, the DJ  and MC, decorations, and anything else in between, we couldn't have  asked for a better experience. The owner was very professional and  worked with my mom and sister to make sure that everything was exactly  the way they wanted it.

Doug and Wally, the DJ and MC, were so  interactive and personable with the party and had everyone dancing the  entire time. It was nearly impossible to stay off the dance floor with  how fun they made it. The party was 1920's themed and the decorations  were set up to go along with the theme, and it looked amazing! There was  a huge variety of food, all of which was delicious. The servers were  very helpful and genuinely wanted to make sure the night was everything  my sister hoped it would be.

I have been to plenty of Sweet 16's  and I can honestly say that this was the most fun one I've been to. The  amount of options that were available (DJ, food, decorations,  photography, etc.) all through the venue made the planning process  comfortable, simple, and turned Sarah's Sweet 16 into an unforgettable  night for all. I would definitely recommend having an event here to  anyone considering it!

March 22, 2014: Wow! I can't  begin to thank you all for the fantastic job each of you did to help  make Jared's bar mitzvah so incredible! It was truly fabulous! We all  couldn't be happier! We are still recovering from such an amazing  weekend. When we decided on Palms Plaza, we loved everything about it  and it was the best decision we ever made! Everyone had the most  incredible time and are still talking about it~ I'm sure they will be  for some time! Just unbelievable. Needless to say, Jared had the time of  his life (as did our entire family!).

Everything went so  smoothly and a job above and beyond well done! Throughout the whole  planning stage, whenever I had questions or during the final planning  process, you each made every step of the way so easy and an absolute  pleasure to work with. We can't thank you enough! Every aspect of Palms  Plaza is the best....the food, the decor, the game room, the service  (from every corner!) and even the AV! The exceptional way in which  everything is run and then all comes together, is truly outstanding. It  really has been an incredible experience and an absolute pleasure. We  all loved every moment of it. We can't thank you enough for all that you  each did. You gave us the best day, one we couldn't even imagine how  great it would be.
